Files for Digital and Offset Printing

The modern printing industry is dominated by PDF (Portable Document Format) workflow. PDF files, when made correctly, contain the layout, images and fonts in one compressed file. PDF’s have the advantage of providing very consistent results with the very minimum amount of problems. InDesign, Quark xPress and many other graphics programs allow for print quality PDF exports. These files are most commonly referred to as X1A PDF’s. Our pre-press staff will be happy to consult with you on the correct way to make X1A PDF files.

All Microsoft office programs can save files as PDF’s. Be sure to save files in Press Quality format.

Working with correctly made PDF files saves us time, which ultimately translates to faster delivery of your job, and avoidance of additional charges for prepress intervention. Our goal is to make your printing project as simple and easy as possible. We also accept native files from just about any software, Mac or PC.
